Email list cleaner

Drop a CSV or paste a list. Each address is classified as valid, invalid syntax, disposable, role-based, typo, no MX or duplicate. Download the clean file and the rejected file.

No addresses yet

Trimmed, lowercased and deduplicated in your browser first.

Checked in batches of 1,000. DNS checks only, no SMTP probing. Nothing is stored.

Quick answer

A clean list has unique, well-formed addresses on domains that accept mail and are not disposable. This tool parses in your browser, then checks batches on the server with one MX lookup per unique domain. It never opens an SMTP connection and does not store addresses.

What this tool checks

Syntax and duplicates. Trim, lowercase and drop exact duplicates before any DNS work. Invalid syntax never reaches MX.

Disposable and role addresses. Disposable domains use the same server-only list as the single validator. Role inboxes such as info@ and support@ are flagged, not deleted, so you can keep them on purpose.

Typos. Near misses of popular providers, like gmial.com, get a suggested correction in the rejected CSV.

MX once per domain. Addresses that share a domain share one MX lookup. A 2,000-row list on 40 domains does 40 MX queries, not 2,000.

Status values in the downloads

How each address is labelled in the clean and rejected CSVs
StatusGoes toMeaning
validCleanSyntax ok, MX present, no red flags
roleClean (filterable)Valid shared inbox, higher complaint risk
typoRejectedDomain looks like a misspelling
disposableRejectedThrowaway inbox provider
no-mxRejectedDomain cannot receive mail and is not a known typo
invalidRejectedBroken syntax, non-public domain, or a known test/spam address
duplicateRejectedSame address already seen

How to fix common issues

Too many disposables

Block disposable domains on the form that collected the list. A lead magnet that accepts mailinator addresses will keep filling with them.

Typos at signup

Show “Did you mean gmail.com?” before submit. Fixing one character there is cheaper than cleaning later.

No MX

Remove those rows. Every send is a hard bounce. Import only the clean CSV into Lumail.

Frequently asked questions

How many addresses can I clean?

Without an account you can verify 10 addresses a day. A free Lumail account raises that to 100 a day, and any paid plan to 10,000 every 10 minutes. The budget is counted on the server per IP or per account, so splitting the list does not raise it. Addresses over your limit are kept out of both downloads.

Do you store my list?

No. Addresses are classified in memory and the response is not logged per address. Keep the downloaded CSVs if you need a record.

Does this probe mailboxes over SMTP?

No. Same rule as the single email validator: syntax, disposable list, typos, role names and MX only. SMTP probing is unreliable and treated as abuse by many providers.

Can I import the clean CSV into Lumail?

Yes. Download the clean file, create a Lumail account, and use the subscriber import. This page does not upload the list for you.
